Press Release Regarding the Attack Perpetrated in Nigeria

We have learned with great sadness that thousands of people were mercilessly slaughtered by the Boko Haram militants in the northeastern Nigerian town of Baga today, at a time when H.E. Aminu Bashir Wali, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is on visit to Turkey to address our Ambassadors within the framework of the Seventh Ambassadors Conference. We strongly denounce and condemn this abhorrent attack.
We wholeheartedly share the pain of the friendly and brotherly Nigerian people and we express once again our unwavering solidarity with the Government of Nigeria.
