We have learned with great sorrow that a terrorist attack was perpetrated against a university in Kabul today (24 August).

We condemn in the strongest terms this heinous attack, which was perpetrated against an institution of science and education with innocent students inside who are the assurance of the future of Afghanistan. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, hope for a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the families of the deceased, to the Government and brotherly people of Afghanistan.

We believe that those, who intend to prevent Afghanistan from having a bright future by dragging it into instability, will not achieve their objectives, and on this occasion, we reiterate once again our support to the Government of Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and our solidarity with the brotherly Afghan people.
