Statement of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hüseyin Müftüoğlu, in Response to a Question regarding the situation in the Eastern Regions of Ukraine
The recent intensification of fighting in the eastern regions of Ukraine is a source of concern.
Civilian inhabitants, who live under harsh winter conditions, are also adversely affected by the fighting and the humanitarian situation is deteriorating.
In order to calm the situation down, it is highly important that all sides should comply with the Minsk agreements.
We will continue to support all efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the situation in Ukraine, based on its territorial integrity and international law.
