No: 126, 24 April 2017, Press Release Regarding the Burning of the Turkish Flag in Armenia
It has been reported in the press that during the ceremony of the so-called anniversary of 1915 events, Turkish flag was burned in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, on 24 April 2017.
Flag symbolizes all the fundamental values, beliefs
and the freedom of a nation. The attack against our flag which is considered to
be synonymous with the existence of the Turkish nation have given rise to
strong resentment and reaction among our people.
In respect of the importance attributed by the Turkish nation to these values and to Turkish flag, we strongly condemn this action and its perpetrators.
