No: 211, 19 October 2025, Regarding the Presidential Elections Held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
The Presidential elections held today (19 October) in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have been concluded in a calm and orderly manner.
We congratulate Mr. Tufan Erhürman, Chairman of the Republican Turkish Party, who has won the elections according to unofficial results.
We wish that the elections, which reflect the free and sovereign will of the Turkish Cypriots as well as the state tradition and democratic culture of the TRNC, will be auspicious for the Turkish Cypriot people and for the entire Island.
Motherland and Guarantor Türkiye will continue to contribute to the efforts towards the peace, welfare, and development of the Turkish Cypriot people, in line with its historical, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities, and with the realities of the Island.
